To demonstrate our commitment to this objective, we have established this privacy statement (this "Policy"). This Privacy Policy is intended to help you understand how the Site collects, uses, or discloses information about you in general. We process personal data consistent with our disclosures in this Policy, based on at least one of the following legal grounds: (1) with your consent; (2) as necessary to perform our obligations under any agreement we may have with you or to respond to your requests; (3) as necessary to help protect the security of the Site and protect against harm to the Site and its users, to fulfill obligations under applicable laws, regulations, industry standards, and government requests, and (4) as necessary for purposes of our legitimate interests, including to provide services related to the Site, so long as such interests do not override the fundamental rights and freedoms of data subjects which require protection of personal data.

We employ the following legal basis when we send you electronic communications that contain information about our products and services that we think may be of interest to you (“Digital Marketing Materials”):

(1) You may withdraw your explicit consent at any time by going to the unsubscribe tool on our Site within the body of Marketing Communications or through our Unsubscribe page.; or

(2) If we want to contact you for marketing purposes (where we haven't gotten your explicit consent and you have an existing relationship with us in connection with our products and services) it is necessary for us to do so.

When you engage with us in a lawful manner, we will always provide you the option to opt out of receiving Digital Marketing Materials.

You may be asked to provide personal information from time to time for us to better serve you, or you may volunteer such information in order to take advantage of certain features on the Site, and you can submit data through the SCA digital platform as part of your application for SCA 360 Accreditation. Personal data that you can provide includes your name, email address, job title and contact information.

We may utilize personal information we gather about you while you visit and use the Site in our regular business operations, to provide services to you, to meet obligations to you under contracts, or to send you administrative messages regarding your encounters with us or Site features, as well as any future changes to this Policy. We may contact you directly via email if we believe that any of the services or products offered by us may be of interest to you. You can also provide us with your information when you use certain features on the Site, such as your name, job title, company and/or

industry, email address, phone number, mailing address, or whether you have an active project seeking the SCA 360 accreditation

To Join Our Mailing List, Submit a Question through our Contact page, View a Report or other Resource, Register for a Webcast, or Ask an SCA Advisor:

  • We will collect, store, and use your email address to send you information and updates if you sign up on the Site for our mailing list and if one of our team members speaks at your event, to register for a webcast, or if you submit a question or request additional information about our programs or view or download a report. We may collect and store your name, as well as other personal information you choose to provide to us, such as your mailing address and telephone number, and professional and employment data. This information can be used to provide you with further information that may be of interest.


If you submit project application information via the SCA digital platform:


  • You may provide information about your project, including, for example, site location; construction details; number of occupants; owner of the project; and personal information such as email addresses and/or phone numbers for project team members, on the SCA digital platform. We will collect, store, and use this information to process and evaluate your application and provide services to you. When using the Site or any other website to which you are submitting personal information, please remember to keep your log-in information private.


While submitting your membership information, replying to a survey, or use any of the other resources available on the Site:


  • If you choose to participate in an online survey or utilize other Site features, you may provide information. This might include your job title, company, industry, email address, phone number, mailing address, and if you have a current project seeking SCA 360 Accreditation as appropriate. We will collect, store, and use this information to follow up on your survey results, provide services to you, and keep you updated about goods and services that may be of interest to you.


While applying for a career:


  • If you apply for a position through the Site, you may provide your name, address, phone number and email address. We will collect, store, and use information that you provide to us in order to evaluate your application.


b. Non-personal information and accumulated data

  • We may collect non-personally identifiable information and aggregated data in order to better understand how visitors use the Site, measure the number of times they visit, how long they stay on the site, and which pages they look at. We collect this information to assess the use of the Site, provide better service to site visitors, and enhance the content of the Site. We utilize such data and other information we obtain from individual users' information to maintain our expansion and deliver high-quality information through more precise marketing and advertising of the Site.

IV. HOW CAN I WITHDRAW CONSENT OR OPT-OUT OF RECEIVING EMAIL COMMUNICATION? You can withdraw your consent or opt-out of receiving certain communications from the Site at any time. If you indicate that you do not wish to receive such messages, we will refrain from sending you unsolicited communications. We take the security of your information seriously, and we will do everything possible to keep your personal information safe. The SCAI does not keep track of website visitors over time or on third-party sites to provide tailored advertising, so the Site does not respond to Do Not Track (“DNT") signals. However, certain third-party websites do maintain records of your surfing habits when they deliver content to you, allowing them to customize what they offer.
